CLASS- THE STRUGGLE OF THE MANY

Class is a way of describing the hierarchy of society. Where you fit on the social class ladder affects your opportunities in life, because it determines your social, cultural, and financial resources.

Many either talk about it in real terms or deny its existence, but the fact is the working class communities were broken up by Thatcher but previous efforts of others prior to Thatcher that led to hunger marches 1923-36  also echo as loud today as they did then.  . The class system has always been around and depending on the definition used, it changed politics and utterly devastated the communities who worked and were just able to sell their labour for a price and keep their heads above water. In Modern Politics it is used less and less.

The workplace has changed in the UK many industrial and manufacturing processes are now lost,  and more and more people work in the public sector, in offices, IT, and other service areas with a few exceptions such as the Construction/Steel industry,  where hard manual labour is still happening just about.

Research suggests that working-class people place a higher value on the good of the group, whether that is the family, co-workers, or the neighborhood, than middle-class people do. Working-class culture focuses on everyday life, while middle-class or professional-class families tend to focus on individual advancement. No definition can adequately capture the complexity and diversity of the working class is today. But regardless of the nuances, working-class people have some things in common – strong commitment to family and community, economic vulnerability, a solid work ethic, occupational health risks, negative cultural stereotypes, limited access to education.

Parts of the United Kingdom have disappeared from public view over the past 30 years, and been erased from social memory. The coal mining communities in the North, in the Midlands and in Kent, that once roared in their fights for the dignity of the working class are now silent, long forgotten.Political, economic, and institutional power has moved away from the docks, the mines, and the shipyards and found a new home in London, with the financial and political action. As a consequence, vast parts of the country are now deemed uninteresting; they’ve been left unfunded, unheard and uncared for by politicians, the media, and business. Their voices were raised in June 2016, though, when many of these communities voted to leave the European Union. That made people takes notice.

But they were still misunderstood. Many would have you believe these communities voted for Brexit because they are stupid, ignorant or racist. In fact, they voted Leave because the system simply doesn’t work for them anymore. They understand that they are dispensable to our ‘economy’ and they resent the fact that ever since the manufacturing industries went and the large warehouses arrived, they have been exploited and left with zero-hour contracts, low wages, and poor quality jobs with little chance of moving on to something better. Being working class isn’t an identity I wear in order to get funding, or a free place at a seminar, my type of working class doesn’t get these things anyway, my type of working class has come through experience and a history that has been passed down to me by generations, my values, how I see and think about the world is knowledge that has been shared with me by mother, by her mother, by her mother and her mother before her, my dad, my granddad and so on, by Mrs Bell my next door neighbour who looked after me when I was a child and her collective knowledge, being working class to me is about power, history, and experience. Being working class is about the relationship a group of people have with other groups of people, looking at each other and seeing that pain, but in turn having others look at you as ‘other’ and not one of them. This collective knowledge isn’t about nostalgia, and the past, it’s about the past the present and the future, a pain I inherited and a pain I have passed on. Working class people are hurt from the day they are born, even before they are born, questions are asked about our inception, about our family’s abilities, and the moral fibre of what we may become the minute our eyes are open. If class isn’t political its nothing. Says working class academic Lisa Mackenzie.

One thing for sure is the Labour movement was built on the collective movement of the people and we should never forget that, or we will surely pay the price at the ballot box.  Today we have swathes of working class people forgotten and left behind, disenfranchised who have been abandoned and it is down to us to reunite them with the Labour Party and it values.

We are part of huge political turmoil with Brexit where Corbyn’s ‘For the Many not the Few ‘ring out loudly but not loud enough to engage those who feel they don’t have a voice or are not listened too. When I talk to those who feel silenced I hear ‘politicians don’t care about me and mine’. We need to listen, feel their pain in Austerity Britain of the 99%, where those in work are struggling and having to ask the state for a helping hand because they are not paid a living wage, while the 1% whose wealth has tripled ignores the many . We need to be rebuilding those communities at the core of Corbyn’s ideas to rejuvenate that collective to stop the rise of the far right narrative poisoning of minds of the future generations.  It would be a dereliction of duty not to do so as a socialist movement.

When a Rebellion is Controlled by the State-Updated

I’m most likely going to upset many people who have a genuine concern over climate change, it’s not like that we don’t know it happening, we can see that daily with extremes of weather and animals being endangered among many other things. But is it really a new phenomena given our planet has undergone changes for billions of years, or is it just another cycle of our planet Earth?  A complete smoke and mirrors job.

However that doesn’t mean we should not challenge the status quo and ideology behind the latest headlines that has thrust one particular phenomena  that came out of nowhere to hit front pages around the globe. When the anarchist federation speaks out against it warning people to be wary, as have many others, I thought it was at least worth a dig around.

Well what a surprise I got . “The new group, Extinction Rebellion, is another incarnation of Climate Camp and Reclaim the Power. They make money by selling “activist courses” to innocent people. They are astroturfers – fake grass roots and their style comes from the Tavistock Institute or Common Purpose leadership training. These are the controllers who steer real activists into illegal activities so that they get arrested, a police record and never get a decent job again.” says one blogger. Well Green Party activists are also behind this movement and many of them genuinely believe in the cause while others have called them the New Occupy which no doubt has attracted many activists  from wider circles  and groups. but it is a middle class  movement which drags others along in the back-draft.  Joining in some fake rebellion controlled by state henchmen whose objective is to clamp down on citizens rights and control any dissent and gather data on the activist movement just for starters.

Well what I found was a movement inspired  that a 16yr old child state patsy, encouraging kids and workers alike to take days off school/work to join in the huge protests happening in London and many other places around the UK and Internationally which has attracted many big names such as David Attenborough, Chris Packham, Emma Thompson ( who got trolled for flying) and many other big celeb supporters , yet when asked who is funding them we get told activist donations and a few small donations from persons unknown. Their Fundraiser currently stands at 82k. Calls for this child to be nominated for a Nobel prize no less , echo amongst the supporters of Greta Thunberg who apparently has Aspergers.

Make no mistake what they have achieved in shutting down London is no mean feat, but it begs to question where were these people when the UK has suffered nine years austerity? People are homeless, thousands have died under welfare reforms and a Government that is in meltdown over a political mistake called Brexit which has divided the nation. Austerity and capitalism go hand in hand and maybe they will expand their remit but it is unlikely. Is it more sinister about controlling resources like food, water etc?

The Main four people claiming to be behind it from Rising Up have some interesting links  yet say Greenpeace have not pushed hard enough. Call outs for people to come down to be arrested and then the Police move in when they arrive is somewhat of a PR stunt while the Mayor of London is left to foot the rising bill  and the Tory ministers go full attack mode saying round them up and a army on standby to quell any uprising. One thing for sure is the working classes of the UK will get the blame for a clampdown just in time for the announcement of a new bill of rights and a activist hit list is complete as the intel will have been garnered. Many good campaigners and activists will be sucked into this data black hole who are frustrated that the UK has a Dictatorship in control of the country, it is all part of the plan, but not like the agenda 21 type that’s banded about idly by conspiracy theorists.

I and others I speak to find it astonishing that many cant see they are being hoodwinked by the state to enable them to  oppress UK citizens even more than they already do so.

Below you will find links to the company details of the main 4 people of Rising Up  it makes interesting reading as does a few other of their cohorts and a couple of  bloggers who calls them out. Make your own mind up don’t be taken in!

Class War On The Poor

For 9 long years campaigning against Austerity has opened my eyes beyond measure, to the corrupt nature of the ruling class. The serious nature of crushing the poorest in society from dissent by control is no joke especially if you are working class whose lack of opportunity is stifled by lack of resources available to them, this is not because they don’t want to rise up the ladder of life, it because of the person holding the ladder preventing them from access and climbing it.

It started with social control via religion and landowners making sure those at the bottom were prevented from rising up and knew their place. It has divided communities across the land and across the globe.

However progression from Victorian England and workhouses because the elite feared disease from black death, cholera, smallpox ,Tuberculosis etc ,society progressed slowly towards better equality with the industrial revolution and workers rights being forced by withdrawal of labour that led to the formation of what we now call the labour party to oppose conservatism and the ruling elite.

But what has really changed? The class system still impacts on citizens today it depends which class system you are born into as to where you can go, even with best will in the world with a few exceptions along the way of those who are catapulted into prominent positions because they understand what class does to society and how it is used as a tool of oppression.

From  Peterloo ,Suffragettes , the Tolpuddle Martyrs, and the  Jarrow Marches,  Miner Strikes in 70’s , and the Poll Tax Riots the working class has stood up to be counted and achieved a lot at the time,  to make working class lives better for a while. It wasn’t without cost of life or oppression and blacklisting of individuals seen by the state as troublemakers.

In 2019 things are at crisis point after 9 years of Austerity in which a Conservative government has incited crushing oppression and hatred on the working class through various austerity measures, divided our communities into groups that hate each other because while everyone is fighting for the crumbs off the table via various pecking orders of worth and Brexit made it worse and opened the door to the rise of the far right who want their country back. Absolving the state from its own responsibility to act in the best interests of all it citizens rather than the few who run the country with impunity with mates rates for those who could afford to contribute more, instead of taking what little the poorest have leaving some of  them without means of survival. After all positive and behavioral change is at the heart of welfare reforms and austerity.

The rise of the middle class protests funded by those with vested interests to contain rebellion from   the working classes while dragging some of them along for the ride  to seem as if they truly care , is nothing more than a establishment smokescreen, which is why the media are reporting on it , and advocating clamping down on such dissent.

I’m not saying these issues don’t matter to working class people too, they most definitely do, disabled people have tried in vain to raise the systemic violations they are currently suffering with welfare reform to no avail and those who do know about it turn a blind eye as it doesn’t affect them, the NHS is being cash starved to privatise it to the American Insurance system which I may add is also being dismantled both here and there so only the rich will have access to medical care. Climate change is a big one we should all care about after all our very existence depends on it, is the latest  protest with arrests now being carried out, whether they will face same sentences before the beak is another matter, as often the working class are made examples of to put you in your place.

So what am I getting at…. It’s the class system we need to get rid of along with this government who will only use these protests to control and oppress the working classes further  because they dared to ask for more, while the middle classes will disappear down the proverbial black hole after gaining some concessions and helping the establishment achieve their goals.

Austerity and climate change are interlinked, but Capitalism is your master right now and has been for some considerable time and that will need crushing to get the changes needed for a fairer and equal society for all citizens and the redistribution of wealth that is needed to radically change the infrastructure of the country.

If you understand what you’re fighting against and what you are fighting for you have a greater chance of success of stopping your oppression.

What Will It Take ……….

What will it take for the people of the UK to wake the hell up? There is hell of a difference in a british stiff upper lip to standing idly by, and getting shafted right up the rear end. The Government openly shows it contempt for the people time and time again and all you do is shrug your shoulders and walk on by those less fortunate, and blame them for the countries ills. Today Budget is for the wealthy yet again while most of the population is crawling on its knees to survive. Angry doesn’t come close and you should be angry too.

Without workers ,nurses and doctors, teachers, emergency services and many other professions this country would not be able to operate, the machinery would stop, yet you all seem content with having your faces rubbed into the mud, or your palms crossed with silver  while the wealthy fleece you and take the clothes off your back and food out your child’s mouth or for some bizarre reason think you are part of a class you are not. You work, your Working Class!

Globally we are a laughing stock  and productivity is low while this shower of traitorous fools laugh in your faces while asset stripping our country. You want to take your country back well get off your high horses and do something about it, stop ignoring the reality. We are not a poor country and these ideological policies are designed to make the poorest pay for a crisis they created by their constant mismanagement  for decades and the constant crises would have removed any other Government from power forthwith, so who is pulling the strings besides the obvious global barons and media corps?

Now they want to invest in technologies that make you redundant and driverless cars, while not investing in solar power  and address the climate changes that are killing us all, including the animals we share it with.

We have families surviving on food banks , diseases long gone returning, malnutrition a potential public health timebomb building, rising numbers of homeless people on our streets , disabled people denied their rights and a basic income, our elderly freezing to death or being cruelly beaten in care homes  and suicide rates escalating around the globe and worst of all a total disregard for human life unless you are productive  and this is progress .What fucking planet are you on?

This social engineering project needs to stop!  It is time to remove this Government from power before it is too late for the many, not the few.

I Can See Straight Through Your Sick Games IDS

ids TELEGRAPH

We all know the suffering enacted by this twisted excuse of a man to those who claim benefits, but the only person benefitting from this is him and his cronies and Tory voters who think it is acceptable to batter into submission those at bottom of the ladder because of some ideological superior thinking of that they are more deserving than the rest of us at the bottom. The top feeders are bleeding this country of its wealth of resources in the name of a Lie…That lie is Austerity and Deficit. Recently we have had UN come over to investigate the violations of disabled people’s rights and in 2013 the un visited regarding the housing crisis and the bedroom tax and now they are investigating him again on similar matters to the first. We cannot continue to let this happen if we love our people and our country? In recent weeks the rhetoric has become so dangerous to those claiming social security benefits it become more than life threatening as the deaths caused by the welfare reforms are growing week by week and will continue to do so until this lunatic and this government are stopped. it has become a case of deserving against undeserving, the worker against claimant, the able bodied against the disabled/jobseekers in the eyes of the public, with media blackouts to truth both within press and on television. Every part of society is blind to this mans evil games while they scrabble around for crumbs off the table while they all blame each other these bastards are selling the family silver off right under your noses, while they use oppressive legislation to silence those who stand up to be counted or change the law to suit, and human rights abuses are sprawled all over place with the idea to rid us of them by removing our country from the EU to remove the Human Rights of its citizens.

Its is time to expose this government and IDS in particular  in any way we can before it really is too late and we are a few steps away from that happening, when will you all wake the fuck up!

IDS now denies all issues with welfare reforms causing deaths, homelessness, child poverty and so much more and he is such a slippery character he hoodwinks the nation by appealing to the brainwashed to support these lies. Mental health claimants have come under considerable fire due to stress and anxiety caused by the constant reassessment, target driven sanctions, the bedroom tax ,and workfare alongside their counterparts in the Work Related Activity Group who are deemed to be working towards the return to work once they have been through this dreadful process, those In the support group haven’t had easy ride either and they now have to deal with DLA to PIP transition where each benefit is used to deny any of the support they promised to protect. This government is now going to roll out another IAPT /CBT Programme to get those in WRAG to return to work telling them they are fit even if their GP or consultants say they are not, even cancer patients are being targeted by this vicious lot as if they don’t have enough to deal with, complicitly helped by GP’s who are being brow beaten under another of his schemes of ‘in work fit note regime’ if they are off ill, besides chop the amount people get by £30 a week in line with JSA. If you are not shocked now you should be, but the outcry this last week in the Lords over tax credits because it starts to affect workers was deafening, while the silence for those at bottom the last 6yrs has also been shamefully deafening  because it doesn’t affect them -YET!

Food banks have risen under this government by an alarming rate with many on low wages or on minimum wage frequenting them often as more and more hit that line where they can no longer sustain their families basic living. He now has come up with another hair brained scheme of duplicity not only to attack those with Mental Health into IAPT/CBT programmes but now wants to place welfare advisors into food banks under the guise of help ,which while in ideal world wouldn’t be bad thing, in this case it most certainly is as this will cause mistrust of food banks therefore driving down the need for food to back up his ludicrous claims people are going for a free lunch, while collecting lifestyle data and then deny them benefits until they comply with his next scheme of lifestyle changes to those with addictions or obesity issues. The evil of this scheming swine know no bounds at all, but I am on his tail and I can see right through him like a pane of glass, and I will scrutinise every mortal thing he does or says to unravel his deceit to this nation and expose his lies for what they are! He punishes the young for something they were not to blame for, he punishes the disabled for being so, he punishes the job seeker without creating many jobs, he blames immigrants for being in country, and blames workers living on poverty wages for being poor, while his government and cronies get richer off the backs of all taxpayers and rewards the guilty bankers with bonuses and tax deductions for businesses, and finally blames labour for the global economic crash. This blithering idiot spent 8.5 billion pounds on a CGI animated  fluffy cuddly monster called ‘Workie’ to tell people about pensions before he snatches their pensions away. The recent announcement that advisers in foodbanks will only feed into his data mining of peoples lives and lifestyle to deny them any support, people will not attend food banks due to fact advisors linked to DWP in situ, this in turn  will reduce food bank use to help him prove a point that people are onto free lunch and not getting jobs while the taxpayer picks up bill. It a case of told you so, that is what this is about sleight on hand.

We need to call time on this government and those who support this lie to account before it is too late. Bevan created the welfare state to support you in times of hardship creating a safety net for all and a NHS to make sure the nation’s health was bettered, yet in it function of 70 yrs long this government has dismantled it  in less than 6 yrs in the name of capitalist greed for the few while the many die like flies, and our elderly are left to rot in a cash starved NHS or Care Home or denied treatment because they live too long.in a country which has always seemed just, this is now a fight to survive, and survival of the fittest will be victors.

If you the people allow this to continue then you have blood on your hands as well as this government. It is time to act and stand and support each other and put your differences aside and stand shoulder to shoulder to fight for what little is left before it is too late!

The Budget & Voter Apathy

untitled

Today we saw the last budget by the Condems before the next election in 2015.  Business did well with tax breaks and lower taxes to boost the economy which we all need, pensioners got the golden honey pot of ISA’s and saving breaks to keep them voting, and the rest of the population got a right kick in balls.  Yet again the Disabled, Carers get hit with a Welfare Cap of 119million,while the Labour benches looked stunned into silence with the stitch up of the decade making it  very difficult without a vote in parliament to spend more on welfare. Also slipped in was the new  7 day waiting time for ESA.

Living Standards are falling at fastest rate since 1870 and all this budget did was pile more pressures  on those at the bottom who are already close to collapse. We have more working families needing foodbanks , even though Benefit Sanctions are causing a recent massive upsurge, with claimants needing help till they get sanctions lifted, and the most ridiculous excuses used by JCP & DWP to sanctioning  those on JSA, which when Universal Credit comes in will get much worse. On top of all this many are being hit by the Under Occupancy charges (aka BedroomTax) already having to choose between heating or eating.

Those in charge of running this country and those who may follow will continue making further cuts, whilst piling on the misery to many, and we now have more children on poverty than ever before. ‘Out of Touch’ is the phrase being banded about and it is correct to make that assumption as many of those in power have never known poverty or ever likely too know poverty, to them peoples lives are chess pieces they move around a board to juggle what they see  is wasteful taxes being spent on those who are Workshy, Feckless and Lazy Scroungers, while the some are earning a crust daily while being spoon fed propaganda by this shower and have swallowed it hook, line, sinker.while it saves them from dipping into their own pockets for them to cough up more taxes. To add insult to injury they award themselves  a bloody 11% payrise while the taxpayer foots the bills for their own lavish lifestyles while taxpayers are busting a gut to pay their own outgoings and put food on table and keep a roof over their heads etc.

Its a smart move by Osbourne even though it chokes me to say so, trying to keep the 1% happy and the chattering middle classes & pensioners to keep them in office, until after next election. Pensioners face having their Bus Passes TV Licenses, Winter Fuel Allowances  chopped after the 2015 election. The changes to National Insurance being scrapped to become a National Earning Tax and possibility to a National Service Bill for those 18-25yr olds (compulsory for 12mths) while scaling down the regular army its another way to juggle the youth unemployment figures down. Then we have European  debate raging on in the background , along with Scotlands Independence  vote shortly.

They wonder why people call it a  Class War , that is because it is one, created by fear and misinformation to turn neighbour against neighbour because while they are all squabbling about it, those in power wheel and deal behind our backs because our eyes are off the ball at who the real culprits are! Yes the Bankers caused this crisis not the poor, whom I may add are getting paid handsome sums of taxpayers money ,and the government who seem untouchable and walk on water are taking more taxpayers money , in second homes, and expenses than almost any benefit claimaint/low paid worker  has ever dreamt of or seen in real terms.

No wonder people don’t go out and vote and apathy to vote in this country is so bad, I’d be surprised if anyone turned up at all in 2015. Our young are cast aside & demonised , our elderly are ones who vote  and those in middle think they all same so why bother, they don’t take no notice of what my needs are, and those at bottom of the heap are so downtrodden they turn their ears off from politics because they are too busy struggling to survive! Society has become the survival of the fittest, and its most selfish in recent times.

Those who are ardent politico’s are battling now to get the party they support votes, while the many online and on the street are saying they are all the same so why bother, lets have a revolution. Whatever the outcome of the next election it is going to be one of the most bloodiest battles in centuries  but one thing is for certain those at the bottom will get punished more and more if they survive that long, and will be transported back to times they thought were long gone and barbaric-Dickenson England and the Welfare State as we know it will be a distant memory.

Radical Change will only happen if you make it happen, for those in power  do not have your best interests at heart, they have only their own interests they care about, Cash is King in a Capitalist World. Use your Vote , Don’t lose your Vote.
